San Angelo Regional Airport

Mathis Field, "SJT", is the only commercial airport serving the Concho Valley. The airport is serviced by American Eagle airline and is owned by the City of San Angelo.

Highways

San Angelo, with a metro population of 103,000, is located on four major highways which provide links to Interstate 20 and Interstate 10. U.S. 87 runs through San Angelo and a large portion of the highway is four lanes with more construction under consideration. U.S. 277 also connects San Angelo directly with Abilene 90 miles to the north and with Mexico 170 miles to the south. Loop 306 facilitates fast access to any part of the city.

The City of San Angelo covers 58.61 sq. miles and Tom Green County covers 1,540.5 sq. miles. We are located at Latitude 31.22 N and Longitude 100.30 W in West Central Texas between the Texas Hill Country to the southeast and the rolling plains to the northwest. San Angelo is located between U.S. Interstate Highways 10 and 20. I-10 is 64 miles south of San Angelo and, depending upon the route taken, it is approximately 70 miles to I-20.
